Stetson

Stetson is my first font and it’s now available as a free download, under an Open Font License. Use it, manipulate it, embed it in other products—have fun. It may be used commercially but only as part of a larger project (like a book or an app). The font may not be sold on its own (as part of the Weymouths project, commissioned by the b-side Arts Festival, it’s always been my intent to keep it open and free). Let me know what you make with it!

B-side Arts Festival, England

For the next several months I’ll be focused on Weymouths, a 12-book project commissioned for the 2012 B-side Arts Festival in the UK. The work will be installed during the summer Olympics (July 27–August 13) in Weymouth, a seaside town in Dorset, England, where the official Olympic sailing competitions will take place.

Mixels go to Colorado

Two 16″ x 24″ digital collages produced with the Mixel app were selected for a juried photography show at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center in Denver, CO. The pieces are up from January 10 through February 13.

The Manual

I’ve been asked to write for The Manual, “a new, beautiful crafted journal that takes a fresh look, in print, at design on the web.” It’s published by Andy McMillan, edited by Carolyn Wood and designed by Jez Burrows. Look for me in issue #3 (March 2012).
